Buffer: A Facebook Group Admin’s Best Friend

As a Thirty-One Independent Consultant I use a closed Facebook group to communicate with my customers. In this group I share specials, product usage ideas, and post about other fun Thirty-One stuff. Unfortunately, with a day job and two young kids to look after, I don’t have a ton of time to be writing Facebook posts every day. So very shortly after starting my group I went looking for a tool that would let me schedule my group posts.

Now, if you have a Facebook page, you can schedule posts right from within Facebook itself. Sadly the same functionality is not afforded to groups! But I just knew someone out there must have already solved this problem, and went on an internet hunt for just the right tool. In very short order I found Buffer!

Buffer is a social media management tool that allows you to author a bunch of posts at once and then schedule them based on whatever timeline you would like! You can use it for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and even LinkedIn! Now I can sit down one or two nights a week after the kids are in bed and put together my group posts for the week. I write my content and upload my images, and choose a date and time for each of the queued posts. So much easier!
